亲爱的外国朋友：

新冠肺炎疫情发生以来，在中国中央政府和浙江省政府的坚强领导和统一部署下，嘉兴市政府始终把人民生命和健康放在第一位，秉持“开放、合作、协同、共赢”理念，科学做好疫情防控工作，有序推进经济社会发展，取得了阶段性的成效。期间，我们守望相助、共克时艰，形成了“顾大局、识大体”的内外互动和联防联控的共识；我们携手同行、情谊日笃，得到了包括您在内的外国朋友的密切配合和大力支持。谨此，向您表示崇高的敬意和衷心的感谢！

病毒无情人有情。开放的嘉兴始终张开双臂恭迎您的到来，但在疫情防控形势依然严峻的特殊时期，我们更加关注您和您家人的身体健康，更加期盼您和我们的至诚合作。现向您诚意提示：

及时关注权威信息。近期，中国疫情防控形势出现积极向好态势，但疫情全球风险“非常高”。部分国际航班随时可能进行调整，国际出入境口岸检疫要求也经常发生变化。为了您能够避免在国际旅行中遇到不必要的麻烦，提醒您及时关注有关网站或微信公众号发布的中国或者嘉兴的官方信息。我们也将及时为您提供有关信息。

提前告知行程计划。如您近期计划从境外前来嘉兴，请尽早联系您在嘉兴的工作单位、居住社区或朋友，通过电话、电邮、微信随时了解疫情动态，及时告知入境和来嘉时间，我们将为您提出旅行建议；如果您目前正在疫情较严重的国家或地区，为避免给您带来不便，建议您尽可能暂缓前来嘉兴。

做好健康防疫申报。在疫情风险解除前，不管您目前已在嘉兴还是即将前来嘉兴，请首先到您在嘉兴工作或访问单位所在地的开发区或镇（街道）如实申报健康状况和以往14天的旅行史。

注意个人健康防护。请您务必注意旅途中的个人健康防护，不与朋友聚会聚餐，少去人多的场所，尽量减少外出，外出要戴口罩；如您出现发热、咳嗽、头痛、乏力、呼吸困难等症状，务必及时与居住所在社区或工作单位联系安排医院就诊。

A Letter to Foreign Friends of Jiaxing

Dear foreign friends,

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, under the strong leadership and unified command of the Central Government and Zhejiang Provincial Government, Jiaxing Municipal Government has always put the life and health of its people first. Upholding an "open, cooperative, coordinated and win-win" concept, Jiaxing has taken science-based epidemic prevention and control measures, managed to promote stable social and economic development in an orderly manner and has made phased progress. During this period, we helped each other, tided over difficulties together and reached consensus on interacted and collaborated prevention and control work. Westwood united with concerted efforts, strengthened friendship and have got the close cooperation and great support from all foreign nationals including you. We hereby would like to extend our high respect and heartfelt gratitude to you.

Ruthless virus brings out warmth in humanity. An open Jiaxing will always be here waiting for you. However, at this critical moment when the situation of epidemic prevention and control remains severe, we care more about the health of you and your family and appreciate more of your cooperation. We would like kindly suggest as follows:

Follow Official Information

Recently, while the positive momentum of the overall epidemic situation in China is expanding, the risk of COVID-19 has been updated to “very high” at a global level. International flights are subjected to change without prior notice and certain quarantine measures might be taken on border entry and exit. Please follow authorized information released by official sites and WeChat official accounts of the Chinese government and Jiaxing. We would also offer relevant information to you.

Inform Travel Plan

If you have recent travel plan to Jiaxing, please contact your work unit, community or friends in advance and get latest updates of the epidemic through such means as telephone, email and WeChat. Please notify your time of entering China and time of arrival in Jiaxing in a timely manner. We will provide you with travel recommendations accordingly. If you are currently in severely affected countries or regions, it is recommended to postpone your visit to avoid inconvenience.

Submit Health Declaration

Since the epidemic risk remains, no matter you are already in or planning to come to Jiaxing, please inform corresponding development zones or townships and sub-districts where your work or visit unit locates upon arrival and report health status and travel history within the last 14 days.

Maintain Proper Self-Protection

Please remain vigilant and strengthen self-protection while travelling. Do not participate in public gatherings and avoid crowded places. Reduce outdoor activities as much as possible, and please wear masks when going out. If symptoms such as fever, cough, headache, fatigue and dyspnea occur, please promptly contact corresponding community or work unit to seek immediate medical treatment at designated hospitals.
